Blog adalah situs pribadi. Berbeda dg website yg setiap memposting harus susah payah memakai kode ekstensi .html .php, .asp, dll, blog merupakan otomatisasi dari semua ekstensi tsb. Sehingga karena sudah diotomatisasi, maka kita-kita semua yg lugu
teknologi menjadi ostosmastis dapat memposting apa yg kita inginkan persis seperti kita memposting email ke teman atau ke milis.
Dan karena kemudahan inilah, maka semua orang yg tahu internet dapat membuat blog atau situs pribadi; sama halnya dg memiliki email. Tak heran apabila pemilik
blog bervariasi: mulai dari pembantu rumah tangga, ibu rumah tangga, tukang jualan sayur di pasar klewer, cewek-cewek "ramah" di pasar senggol, sampai profesor dan menteri-menteri.
2. Bagaimana cara membuat blog?
Seperti halnya email, buat account dulu di free blog provider (pemberi hosting/domain blog gratis). Yg paling populer adalah http://www.blogger.com. Bagi
Anda yg sudah agak melek-huruf teknologi bisa juga buat account di http://www.wordpress.org. Selain yg dua ini masih banyak penyedia blog gratis yg bisa Anda ketahui kemudian. Ikuti pentunjuk step-by-step ketika mendaftar.
3. Setelah selesai register/sign-up di http://blogger.com, anda dapat mulai
memposting/mempublish apapun yg Anda inginkan di blog: mulai dari curhat, puisi, cerpen, tulisan serius sampai yg canda.

Setelah selesai membuat blog, hal yg tak kalah pentingnya adalah mempromosikan/memperkenalkan blog milik Anda pada dunia ramai. Apa gunanya membuat blog kalau isi curhat, puisi, cerpen, refleksi dan opini Anda yang diposting tidak dibaca orang, bukan?
Ikuti langkah-langkah promosi blog sebagai berikut:
(1) Daftarkan di blog directory
Daftarkan blog Anda ke berbagai direktori blog (blog directory). Sedikitnya, daftarkan di tiga blog directory terbesar dan terpopuler, yaitu (a) http://technorati.com (b) http://feeburner.com (c) http://blogshares.com. Ikuti seluruh petunjuk pada ketiga blog directory tsb ketika mendaftar.
Blog-blog directory ini nantinya secara otomatis akan mengirim data blog dan posting-posting anda ke berbagai search engine, termasuk tiga search engine besar yaitu http://google.com, http://msn.com, http://yahoo.com.
(2) Link-trade atau Link Exchange
Ajak teman anda yg memiliki blog untuk saling tukar link. Link URL anda di blog dia, dan jangan lupa anda juga memasukkan link blog teman anda tsb. di blog anda. Dalam dunia blog, ini disebut juga dg istilah BLOGROLL. Dan blogroll ini salah satu penyebab cepatnya popularitas blog di seluruh dunia, mengalahkan website yg biasa.
Blogroll atau link-exchange tidak harus melalui permintaan, bisa juga dg saling suka rela. Umpamanya, ada seseorang blogger (pemilik blog) yg memasang link Anda di blog dia, apabila Anda tahu, maka Anda juga "berkewajiban" menambah link blog dia di blog Anda. Apabila tidak, maka akan dicap sebagai "blogger pelit". Di dunia maya pun, sebagaimana di dunia nyata, orang pelit akan selalu teralienasi. dg kata lain, sedikit "tamu"nya. :)
Nah, bagaimana cara mengetahui ada yg mengelink blog Anda? Caranya mudah: tulis di google.com begini, link:http://alamatbloganda.com, setelah tekan search, anda akan tahu siapa saja yg ngelink ke blog anda.
(3) Berkunjung ke blog lain
Untuk menambah teman untuk diajak blogroll, sempatkan berkunjung ke blog2 lain, dan berkomentar di bukutamu atau tagboard mereka atau berkomentar di tulisan mereka sambil jangan lupa memasang alamat blog Anda di blog mereka. Dalam waktu tidak lama, mereka akan "bertamu balik" ke "rumah" atau blog Anda.
(4) Aktivitas posting
Usahakan sedikitnya satu kali posting setiap harinya. Posting yg teratur di blog, akan membuat tamu datang secara teratur juga.
(5) Alamat blog di signature email
Tulis alamat blog Anda di signature email. Sehingga setiap anda menulis email ke pribadi atau ke milis, alamat blog anda akan selalu muncul, dan "menggoda" orang untuk berkunjung. Memposting ringkasan tulisan di blog Anda ke milis juga akan sangat menggoda member milis untuk datang ke blog Anda.

Setelah membuat blog dan memposting tulisan, curhat, puisi dan cerpen serta diari Anda, cobalah tiga hari kemudian cek blog Anda di http://google.com, pakai kata kunci nama Anda atau link Anda seperti http://alamatbloganda.com (pemakaian http://.. ini perlu untuk membentuk link). Apabila masih belum muncul di google.com, berarti ada setting-an blog Anda yg perlu diperbaiki. Ikuti petunjuk sbb:
(1) Log-in ke http://blogger.com dan masukkan id dan password seperti biasa;
(2) Klik judul blog Anda;
(3) Klik "setting", trus klik "publishing"
(4) Di bagian paling bawah ada menu "notify weblogs.com" pilih "yes".
(5) Klik "Save Settings" dan "republish". Selesai.
Jangan lupa, menu "comments" dibikin publik supaya orang mudah memberi komentar. Caranya:
(1) Klik "Setting", trus klik "comments". Di "settings comments" ini ada berbagai pilihan, pilih sbb:
(a) Comments --> pilih "show";
(b) Who can comment? --> pilih "anyone";
(c) Comments default for comments --> pilih "New Posts have comments"
(d) Backlinks --> show
(e) Show comment in pop up window? --> pilih "yes"
(f) Show Word verification for comments? --> pilih "yes"
(g) Enable comment moderation? --> pilih "no"
(h) Show profile images on comments? -->pilih "yes"
(i) comment notification address --> isi dg email anda.
Terakhir, klik "Save Settings" dan "Republish". Selesai.

MEMBUAT WEB SITE SENDIRI

Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb...

Sebelum membuat suatu web site, aku akan memberikan informasi mengenai site mana saja yang memberikan fasilitas ruang pada server mereka untuk pembuatan web site gratis, tetapi biasanya kamu-kamu harus menjadi anggota/member terlebih dahulu, yaitu dengan cara mendaftar/sign up untuk mendapatkan email yang juga gratis, dimana nantinya user name email tersebut yang akan dipakai sebagai user id untuk login/sign in ke halaman pembuatan web site.

Beberapa site yang memberikan fasilitas pembuatan web site gratis yaitu :

Ada tiga cara yang dapat kamu pilih untuk membuat suatu web site pada salah satu site yang memberikan fasilitas pembuatan web site gratis, akan tetapi hanya cara pertama dan kedua saja yang aku bahas, sedangkan untuk cara ketiga dapat kamu baca buku referensinya yang sudah banyak dijual di toko-toko buku.

Untuk kamu yang ingin cepat memiliki Home Page sendiri yang sederhana dan tidak terlalu dipusingkan dengan mempelajari program HTML atau UPLOAD file dapat memilih cara yang pertama, tanpa makan waktu yang terlalu lama, hanya ± 10 menit, kamu-kamu sudah mempunyai personal page yang sederhana.

Tapi kalau kamu kurang puas dengan hasil home page yang kamu buat, kamu dapat mengeditnya dengan software yang ada pada site pemberi fasilitas pembuatan web site, ini berarti kamu sudah memilih cara yang kedua, di cara yang kedua ini kamu dapat melakukan upload file animasi, tombol, background, border, picture atau foto kamu yang kemudian di tampilkan dihalaman web site yang kamu buat sebelumnya.

GENERAL TIPS:

• A correct start must include written goals and plans.

• Don't wait for everything to be exactly right to start...THERE WILL NEVER BE A "PERFECT" TIME! Start now, with whatever you have. The things you need will come to you as you work toward your goal.

• Treat your business as a serious, full-time business, and it will become one.

• Though SFI is one of the few businesses where you can earn while you learn, think of your first six months primarily as a training period. Don't expect large earnings until after you've educated yourself.

• Be patient. You'll work the hardest your first six months or so and get compensated the least. Big incomes never happen overnight. They only come after you've properly shown your affiliates how to duplicate your efforts.

• Formulate a plan of weekly activity and be persistent in following it—if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Sticking to your plan is essential for success.

• Always be ENTHUSIASTIC!!

• Don't give your affiliates unrealistic expectations.

• FOCUS! You cannot become successful in anything when you're trying to do too many things at once.

• Don't quit. The only way to fail is if you give up.

• Think BIG! Small desire produces small results, just as small fires produce little heat.

• Don't complain to your upline leaders. Realize that what you accomplish is mainly in your hands, no one else's. Also realize that, when you see a problem, 95% of the time there are factors you are unaware of. Don't jump to conclusions. When you have a problem, present it in a concise letter as positive, constructive criticism. Offer solutions if possible, too. Not only will this approach get you better results, but you'll be building your relationship with your upline instead of tearing it down.

• Be organized, but don't allow the act of organizing keep you from the most important element of a successful SFI business: MARKETING. Market and promote your business EVERY DAY!

• Don't let little problems upset you. Concentrate on the many positives...and the "big picture."

• Always remember that the only thing that will never change is that there will always be changes. Don't let changes upset you. Know that you will have to deal with changes and other obstacles, both big and small, continually. Be prepared to be flexible.

• Don't be a negative thinker and don't let the negative attitudes of others (even if they're family members, friends, or peers) influence you. All the great men and women in history had to overcome the naysayers who said it couldn't be done—and then went out and did it. Think for yourself!

• Don't be derailed by "perfection paralysis." Realize that you won't be able to do everything perfectly. Do the best job you can, then move on to the next project. Keep learning and keep moving ahead.

• Read books (such as Napoleon Hill's classic, "Think And Grow Rich") that will convince you how powerful your mind really is. Develop the tremendous potential in you (that we all have) that has never been tapped!

• Remember always..."IF IT'S TO BE, IT'S UP TO ME."

TIPS FOR RECRUITING NEW AFFILIATES:

• Always present yourself and your business in a professional and ethical manner.

• Stick to the facts. Don't exaggerate the opportunity.

• Realize that "rejection" is natural. For every 20 people you contact, expect 19 "no's" for every "yes." You may very well do better than that, but expect 19 rejections. This way, the rejections won't bother you because you expect them. Also, realize that they're not rejecting YOU—they're simply rejecting an idea. Just keep moving ahead. Be persistent, ignore the rejections, and you'll get more than enough "yes's" to build a highly successful business.

• Always remember SW-SW-SW-SW-N: Some will. Some won't. So what?! Someone's waiting. Next!

• Have FUN! People can't resist someone having fun. Make your business so much fun that others will flock to you to join you.

• Ask for people's opinion on the opportunity. It's a good way to determine what objections they might have to joining and also allows you the chance to overcome those objections.

• Don't place a few ads or contact a few people and expect the money to start rolling in. Expect to work your business consistently for two to three years before seeing a really substantial income.

• Ask for referrals. Ask, "Do you know anyone who might be looking to earn some extra money?"

• Build a list of contacts. Add to it daily.

• Don't become obsessed with sponsoring a "heavy hitter." Instead, learn how to become a heavy hitter yourself.

LEADERSHIP TIPS:

• Lead by example. Do all the things you want your affiliates to emulate.

• Know that most people crave recognition. RECOGNIZE your affiliates who are doing good things with praise and rewards.

• Don't waste time on skeptics or non-motivated people. They will NOT succeed in your business or any other similar endeavor. They do not possess the qualities of a winner (this includes "rocking-chair advisors" who talk and talk, seem to know all the answers, but never act).

• Communicate constantly! Keep in touch with everyone you're personally sponsoring and who are in your team regularly. For your key people, make it daily if possible. The methods you can use are numerous: newsletters, meetings, phone calls, e-mail, voice mail, faxes, postcards, etc.

• Use IAHBE resources every day! Learn as much about IAHBE as you can so you can easily describe its numerous benefits. To become an IAHBE member yourself, go to the SFI Affiliate Store.

• Assist the persons you are sponsoring in SFI and the persons in your team as much as you can. Help them sponsor their first several affiliates. Let them know that you offer your support. Teach your affiliates the importance of doing the same for those in THEIR teams. In helping others become successful, you can become successful. It's also a wonderful way to make life-long friends.

• Don't do things for your affiliates that they should do themselves—or you will create "cripples."

• Avoid promoting your business in any way that causes your prospects to say to themselves, "Oh, now I see how this thing works, but I could never do that." In other words, if you are to succeed, your prospects must always be able to envision themselves doing what you're doing.

• Develop retail customers and encourage your affiliates to do the same. Doing so can generate immediate profits. This also builds confidence and has a springboard effect for future success in all facets of the business.

8. You can setup a page to attractively frame your favorite SFI Gateway(s).

9. Allows you to offer more training options for your team with ebooks, software, and special reports in downloadable form.

10. You can host a site for your "technology challenged" affiliates. It could be as simple as just another page within your main Website. For instance, you could create "mysfiwebsite.com/XXXXXXXX," where XXXXXXXX is affiliate's SFI ID. You could also use the affiliate's name or company name.

11. Providing an RSS feed from your site can let you deliver your sales or training messages without needing someone's e-mail address, thereby expanding your reach to prospective customers. If you need to become familiar with RSS, try this free RSS reader: http://rssreader.com.

12. Setting up a form on your Web page allows you to collect visitors' names and e-mail addresses. Set the form to post the information to your Autoresponder or a database on your site. Check with your Web host for instructions on setting this up.

Building Your Business With Conference Calls

I find Conference Calling the most effective way to keep in contact with all team members and new affiliates...

Everyone should set up his or her own conference line and have a meeting at least once a week with the team. Share results from using and selling the products...share ideas. Make this an actual team effort and let your team members know that they don't have to be alone!

Teach your team members to send prospects to a special "briefing" call where you can give them a full overview of SFI. Then tell those on the call to get back in touch with the person who referred them.

I know and have proven that this works. The key is human contact. The spirit of the human voice is amazing in what it does for convincing people to take action.

To get people to join you on these calls, simply use this phrase:

If I could honestly show you a way to create an ongoing residual income working part-time from home—for NO initial investment— would that be worth 30 minutes of your time at [Date and Time]?

That phrase will work nearly EVERY time. If they want more information and ask you questions, simply tell them:

Those are very great questions and I'm sure you'd like some detailed answers—unfortunately, I have another meeting and must go right now, but if you would be so kind as to write those questions down and bring it to the call on [Date and Time], I will be very happy to answer them to your 100% satisfaction! Thank you for committing your time! I look forward to speaking with you on [Date and Time] [Name]!

The call should be a briefing call overview of SFI, the opportunity, and the products offered! Write your own compelling script—and be sure to use YOUR testimonial—this is your greatest asset!

Next, have a weekly call with all the members in your downline. E-mail them using an autoresponder to remind them and talk about current events and new ideas!

Another good idea for a call would be to add maybe once or twice a month a "how to build your business" call for everyone...even if they are not signed up yet! Some people just like that extra bit of information!
